Court House Restoration
A review of trusses supporting the roof on the oldest courthouse in the state was conducted, with recommended repairs and updates made to increase the life span of this classic building. Trillium Dell Timberworks was able to do all of the specialized restoration work while keeping the courthouse in service.

Principal purlin to principal rafter connection (Why didn't they just frame it into the queen post?)

Connecting girt into a QP, cut to short used anyway. Luckily the QP is a tension member and didn't need braced here.

New common rafters, top chords (which are now well braced from buckling) and saddle hangers under the purlins are a few of the corrections made. New principal rafter, now with a strap to provide positive clamping at the heel joint. Some of the originals had opened up several inches.
